Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in physical fitness learning outcomes through the play approach in class VII students of MTs Negeri 1 Medan. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR), with three cycles. The instrument used is the short distance running test. The subjects in this study were 18 students of class VII MTs Negeri 1 Medan. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics with percentages. Based on the results of the research on physical fitness test results obtained through the play approach in class VII students of MTs Negeri 1 Medan, the average achievement in cycle 1 was 64.58, the average in cycle 2 was 71.87, and the average in cycle 3 obtained 80.2 The results can be concluded that there is an increase in physical fitness learning outcomes through the play approach in class VII students of MTs Negeri 1 Medan.
